Fall Equinox Event Weekend at The Witch’s Hearth

September 18 & 19, 2026
Join us at The Witch’s Hearth for a full weekend of community, ritual, learning, history, and hands-on practice as we mark Mabon and the Autumn Equinox.
This weekend is designed as a shared seasonal gathering rather than a single workshop. Some parts are social, some are educational, some are ritual, and some are practical. Come for one piece, or spend the weekend moving through the whole arc with us.
Friday, September 18
AWA Coffee Cauldron — Kickoff to Equinox Weekend
6:30 PM–10:00 PM
Free for all to attend
This month’s Coffee Cauldron will take on a different format.
We’ll still have the familiar coffee, tea, conversation, and community, but beginning at approximately 8:00 PM, we’ll shift into a relaxed and conversational guided study on the history of Mabon, the Fall Equinox, and seasonal traditions connected to this point in the turning year.
We’ll explore where modern Mabon traditions come from, how the equinox has been understood across different cultures and spiritual paths, and the themes of harvest, balance, gratitude, preparation, and transition that continue to shape contemporary Pagan practice.
This portion will be presented by The Witch of Shamie’s Suitcase, Steward of The Witch’s Hearth.

Saturday, September 19
Doors open at 12:15 PM
1:00 PM — Mabon Ritual
The Tradition of the 13 Moons Eclectic First Coven will perform their written and created open Mabon ritual to mark the Autumn Equinox.
This ritual is open to everyone. You do not need to belong to the coven, AWA, or any particular tradition to participate.

2:30 PM — Special Guest Speaker
We’ll be joined by a special guest speaker for an afternoon presentation exploring Druidry, Pagan practice, and seasonal tradition.
Full speaker details and bio will be released in the coming days. We cannot wait to share this with you!

4:00–6:00 PM — Creating Temple Incense
We’ll move from discussion into hands-on practice with a workshop exploring temple incense traditions and the process of creating a ritual incense inspired by ancient and historical practice.
We’ll look at the role incense has played in sacred spaces, ritual, devotion, and temple practice before working together to create our own incense.
Additional workshop details, including registration information, will be released separately.

7:30 PM — Closing Ritual
We’ll bring the weekend together with a final community ritual marking the threshold of the Autumn Equinox and the movement toward the darker half of the year.
A space for reflection, gratitude, release, and intention as we close the weekend together.
