Fall Equinox: A Cathedral Sound Bath Experience
About this Event
Two gatherings. One cathedral. A day of deep listening.
Join the Harmony Works team beneath the soaring ceilings of Baltimore’s historic “Green Cathedral”—Mount Vernon Place United Methodist Church—for an immersive gathering of crystal singing bowls, gongs, voice, chimes, light, and spacious silence.
Here, the cathedral itself becomes part of the experience.
Sound rises into the sanctuary, circles through the architecture, and returns through the room. You are invited to lie down or take a seat, let the day fall away, and listen with your whole body.
No experience needed. Nothing to perform. Nothing to achieve.
Simply arrive, settle in, and receive.

☀️ THE MATINÉE · 1:30 PM
The Daylight Restoration
Grounded · Expansive · Meditative · Restorative
A quiet, uninterrupted instrumental immersion created for stillness, inward listening, and deep rest.
As daylight fills the cathedral, crystal bowls, gongs, chimes, and harmonic overtones move slowly through the sanctuary. This gathering is spacious and contemplative, with no expectation beyond becoming comfortable and listening.
Especially suited for those seeking:
✦ Deep relaxation
✦ Meditation & reflection
✦ Relief from overstimulation
✦ Emotional spaciousness
✦ A quiet seasonal reset
🌙 THE EVENING · 7:00 PM
The Twilight Broadcast
Electric · Beautiful · Expansive · Unifying
An immersive evening of voice, resonance, and shared intention.
We open with a live vocal offering from the Harmony Works ensemble, creating a field of voice and harmonic resonance before transitioning into the full cathedral sound bath.
The evening carries more collective energy than the Matinée while preserving space for silence, rest, and inward listening.
Especially suited for those seeking:
✦ Emotional opening
✦ Spiritual reflection
✦ Creative inspiration
✦ Shared resonance
✦ A powerful live experience
✦ A collective offering of peace
Lying Experience · Limited to 35 Guests Per Gathering
Receive the sound from the floor with your choice of:
✦ Zero-gravity chair — extremely limited
✦ Reserved yoga-mat space
Designed for guests who want to settle fully into the experience and feel the sound move through the body.
Please bring your own mat, blanket, pillow, eye mask, and anything else that helps you rest comfortably.
Cathedral Seating
Traditional pew seating throughout the sanctuary, with full access to the sound, atmosphere, and visual beauty of the cathedral.
An excellent choice for guests who prefer seated comfort or do not wish to lie on the floor.
You do not need to know how to meditate or understand sound healing.
Wear comfortable clothing. Arrive with enough time to settle in. During the gathering, you are welcome to close your eyes, remain seated, lie down in your reserved space, or quietly adjust your position as needed.
The experience can be subtle or powerful.
Some people feel deeply rested. Others notice emotion, imagery, stillness, physical sensation—or simply the pleasure of listening to beautiful music in an extraordinary space.
There is no correct way to receive it.
Harmony Works is a Baltimore-based nonprofit creating accessible experiences of sound, voice, rest, and restoration.
We believe there are times when words are not enough—and that gathering to listen can help us remember something essential: how to slow down, how to become present, how to find our own inner knowing, and how to feel less separate from ourselves and one another.
Inside this historic cathedral, we gather for personal restoration and for something larger: a shared field of beauty, receptivity, attention, and peace.
Claim your place inside the sound.
Come listen. Come rest. Come become part of the peace.
