ASCCC Fall Curriculum Regionals: The Map Is Not the Territory

Every course outline is a map, a useful tool to guide us, but never quite able to capture precisely the living territory of the teaching and learning it represents. This year’s Curriculum Regionals invites curriculum committee members and chairs, articulation officers, curriculum specialists, academic senate leaders, and administrators to put down the legend and walk the ground.

We welcome dispatches from the cartographers: updates on the fast-shifting terrain of TOP/CIP alignment, artificial intelligence, and the ongoing work of Common Course Numbering. Tracking the history and overview of where curriculum and legislation intersect, and the history of Ethnic Studies as both discipline and movement and provide a view of the Ethnic Studies landscape now taking form across the community colleges. We’ll look at practical strategies for operationalizing IDEAA and Universal Design for Learning inside local curriculum processes. Join us as we think carefully about the boundaries we've drawn, the territories we've left unmarked, and what curriculum might become once we ruminate on the history and explore technical elements to help navigate and shape the future of curriculum across the state.

We do not do direct transfers without first cancelling one reservation then submitting a second submission.

Please remember that the last day to cancel your registration is November 2, 2026. Cancellations must be submitted in writing to [email protected] on or before the posted date. No shows or cancellations after the deadline will be billed $25. If you are unable to attend please email [email protected] before the cancellation deadline. Cancellations must be received in writing.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

All attendee registrations must match the ticket. If you would like to transfer your registration, you must cancel the first one, then register the second attendee online.
