Don't miss out on the last kayak of the year and an opportunity to experience the beautiful autumn colors on Lake Newport in Mill Creek MetroParks! This naturalist-guided paddle will give you a deeper understanding of the biology behind the stunning fall color change. Whether you're a seasoned pro or a beginner, all are welcome!
WHO: 18+
WHEN: October 24th, 2026 @ 11 AM
*Please arrive a half hour early to fill out waivers and get fitted for equipment.
WHERE: Mill Creek MetroParks- Lake Newport. Meet at the East Newport boat ramp on East Newport Drive. You can access East Newport Drive from either Shields Rd. or Brookwood Rd. in Boardman or Kiwatha Rd in Youngstown (off Glenwood Ave).
DETAILS: You can bring your own kayak or use one of ours. Suggested personal items to bring: sunscreen, bug spray, hat, sunglasses, drinking water, snacks, hand sanitizer, and binoculars. Please wear shoes that can get wet and have a back strap(no flip-flops or Crocs). There is a restroom facility at the boat launch. We'll reach out to you in case of cancellation due to severe weather.
FEE: $30 rental/$15 BYOK
