✨ Fall Candlelight Walk at Council Grounds State Park ✨
Join us for an evening on the Big Pines Trail! The walk begins and ends at the beach parking lot, where parking is available.
The 1-mile trail winds through the woods with gentle hills and boardwalks, softly lit with small lights. For those who prefer a paved surface, a segment of the boat landing loop road will also be closed off and lit for the walk.
Leashed, well-behaved pets are welcome, but they must be comfortable around other pets and people in the dark.
Bring a flashlight, lantern, or headlamp to guide your way if you wish.
Don’t forget your s’mores fixings. The Friends of Council Grounds will have warming fires at the beach shelter to gather with friends before or after your walk.
A vehicle admission pass is required for entry and can be purchased at the park entrance. Daily passes are $8 per vehicle.
