So what is a competitive AoS league? Great question. The overall goal is to set up games over time for those that love AoS and for those that either can’t or don’t want to compete in single day events. Think of the league as a tournament that is stretched over a month. You will be allowed to change most aspects of your army during these couple of weeks (besides your faction) to allow testing of new ideas, which is quite different than the locked lists required for actual tournaments. Models also do not have to be painted.
But why should you join? Well leagues are a great way to meet new people and build a community with a low commitment. The first league will be free to enter and limited to 16 participants. My hope is that if we get enough interest then we could run larger leagues for each of the 4 seasons with tentative start dates after the release of the quarterly points update. I would also like to theme these based on the season so expect some extra spooky terrain and awards for the Fall Brawl. Sign up with a link below.
Hi everyone, I will be starting up a competitive 2k point Age of Sigmar league that will last 3-4 weeks starting at the end of September. Registration and point scoring will run through Best Coast Pairings (BCP) at the link below. There you will also find all the information for the player packet including how games are setup, army composition, mission rules, prizes, etc. I will also advertise the league at Turbulent starting next week with a QR code that links to BCP.
If you have any questions/suggestions, send me a message or just chat with me at the store. This first league is a bit of a pilot and adjustments may have to be made on the fly. However, I am really excited and have some big ideas for future leagues that happen regularly (every ~3 months) with more prize categories as long as there is interest.
