FALL 2024/WINTER 2025 SESSION OF NURSERY PROFESSIONAL CERTIFICATE TRAINING

Nursery Professional Certificate Training Program, sponsored by the University of NV Extension, is an extensive 10-12 week course taught by subject matter experts and green industry professionals that provides an opportunity for tree nursery professionals and other green industry workers to expand their knowledge on topics including:

• Plant Biology
• Tree Selection and Care
• Irrigation
• Plant Taxonomy Desert Plants
• Soil and Fertilizers

WHAT ARE THE BENEFITS?

Participants are introduced to industry standards and changing requirements in the Las Vegas area. The course encourages participants to collaborate and discuss subject matter and issues that arise in landscapes, customer education and planting.

The session begins on November 4, 2024 and continues through February 2025.

Classes meet twice a week on Mondays and Thursdays from 4PM - 7PM at the University of NV Extension Campus, 8050 Paradise Rd., Las Vegas, NV 89123

Note: During the fall/winter session class will break for the following holidays: Veterans Day, Thanksgiving, the week between Christmas and New Year, and Martin Luther King Day.

The cost to register is $300. The registration fee covers the cost of all textbooks, materials and some refreshments.
