Fall 2024 Miata Cruise
Though this is primarily a Miata cruise feel free to invite any other Mazdas/passengers as well!
After buying my 2023 ND Miata a little over year ago and gauging the community, I’ve noticed we have a lot of great people but not many routinely hosting events. So I’m dipping my toes in, if things go well you can expect many more events going forward!

9:00 am – meet the other drivers, get some early photos, driver’s brief before heading out.

The basic route is to head out on Jacklin Rd eventually taking Happy Valley Rd towards East Sooke. After passing through East Sooke we’ll take the underpass to merge onto Sooke Rd and head out to Port Renfrew pub for a group lunch. Afterwards we’ll leave the pub and take Pacific Marine Rd towards Lake Cowichan before taking Hwy 18 to the Malahat and finally ending at the YMCA parking lot.
I’ll be looking to refine the route and add a few planned stops for photo opportunities as I gauge interest.
DRIVING SAFETY:
Safety is of course my primary concern. I want everyone to enjoy themselves but at the same time to do so safely. Don’t feel the need to drive beyond your abilities when the group is driving a bit faster than you’re comfortable with. I will at times slow down the group to allow others time to catch up. Sections of the road after Jordan River and on Pacific Marine Rd have several dips which will require us to slow down for lowered vehicles so keep your distance.
PREPARATION:
• Full tank of gas
• Tires/brakes/oil/fluids checked & all good
• Clean car in presentable and SAFE condition
