In many ways, nations are stories they tell about themselves—and to themselves. Civic faith—or what some call “civil religion”—has been part of the United States' story since the founding. What is the status of our civic faith or civil religion today as we mark the nation’s 250th anniversary?
About the speaker:
Peter Loge has more than 30 years of experience in politics and communications, including roles at the FDA, with Sen. Edward Kennedy, and for three House members. He leads the Project on Ethics in Political Communication at GW’s School of Media and Public Affairs. Loge has advised campaigns and organizations, helped put the first member of Congress online, and served as a House health care policy advisor during the Affordable Care Act debate. He has also exhibited sculpture, appeared as a political satirist on NPR, and authored books on management and political communication ethics, including a 2018 Amazon #1 new release.
