We are excited to announce that Shaykha Ieasha Prime is coming to Auckland, New Zealand this November!
The Islamic Women's Council of New Zealand is pleased to invite you to join us for an evening with Shaykha Ieasha Prime as she explores how Muslim women can integrate their faith into everyday life with purpose and intentionality. Through her talk, "Faith in Action: Living with Purpose as a Muslim Woman," Shaykha Ieasha will offer valuable insights on how Islamic principles can guide decision-making, leadership, and relationships, encouraging women to navigate challenges with clarity and confidence.

About Shaykha Ieasha Prime:
Shaykha Ieasha Prime is the Director of Women’s Programming at Dar al Hijrah Islamic Center in Virginia and the founder of the DC Muslim Women’s Conference. She embraced Islam over 20 years ago following a transformative experience as a Youth Ambassador to Morocco and Senegal, where her passion for knowledge was sparked.
Her pursuit of Islamic knowledge led her to study Arabic and Quran at the Fajr Institute in Cairo, Egypt, and later in Hadramaut, Yemen, at Dar al Zahra, where she studied Aqeedah, Quran, Hadith, Fiqh, and more. Shaykha Ieasha holds several scholarly licenses (ijaza) and has dedicated her life to education, activism, and developing Islamic programming.
As the co-founder and Executive Director of Barakah INC, she trains Muslim women in traditional Islamic sciences with a modern approach, helping them apply this knowledge to contemporary challenges. Shaykha Ieasha is also known for her role in the National Women's March and her work in addressing race, gender, and spirituality within the Muslim community.
