Fairy House Workshop
About this Event
Imagine a home fit for a fairy — tucked under a mushroom, nestled in a hollow log, or perched at the base of a garden tree. In this hands-on drop-in workshop, families and curious makers of all ages build their own miniature fairy houses using natural and found materials: twigs, bark, moss, acorns, pebbles, shells, and more.
Join local artist and former ACM Education Coordinator Sally Dean as she guides participants through the art of small-scale nature building. Sally brings a playful, intuitive approach to art-making that welcomes beginners and experienced crafters alike — no experience necessary, just a sense of wonder and a love of making things by hand.
Create your fairy house for the museum’s fairies on site, where they'll remain through Halloween before the fairies move on for the season, or create one to take home.
Recommended for families with children ages 4 and up. All materials provided.
