As I was working on this new workshop idea it brought me back to the world of fairytales that my grandparents used to read to me from a big old story book with fabulous illustrations. Stories about fairies , fae realms and magic.
One if the illustrations in that book was of a fairy sat on a grapevine swing and that is what has inspired this workshop.
We will first make our own fairy. Carefully creating her dress and adding her wings.
fairies represent love and magic and are often associated with spring.
We will seat our fairies on a mini circular wreath. That surrounding circle represents eternal protection, the cycle of life and continuous renewal.
We will add flowers and greenery around our wreath and decorate with gems.
Those reflective gem stones catch and play with the light.
In folklore and fairytales fairies are often associated with starlight.
