About Sarah Trahan:
Sarah Trahan (1982) is an American artist and creative technologist based in Denmark. Trahan makes things that make things. She builds tools and systems that work with traditional materials like clay, fiber, and ink. Her work sits in the gap between digital precision and material agency, designing processes where unpredictability and failure become creative input rather than something to eliminate. Her drawings and sculptures record what emerges when intention and outcome don't quite meet.
She has exhibited across the United States and Denmark and has taught at various art and design schools, including the College for Creative Studies and Designskolen Kolding. Her work in Denmark has been supported by public and private foundations, among them Statens Kunstfond, Aage V. Jensens Fonde, and Nationalbankens Jubilæumsfond.
Sarah Trahan holds an MFA from Cranbrook Academy of Art, USA, and a BFA from the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, USA.
The title of Sarah Trahan's work for The Hall of Failure is inspired by Brian Eno and Peter Schmidt's creativity cards, Oblique Strategies.
