Fado Unbound

A series of intimate performances held in private residences across The Hague. By removing microphones and speakers, we return to a pure sound where the human voice interacts directly with the room. In this recital, the traditional Portuguese guitar is absent to allow for a direct and raw connection between the performer and the audience.

The Cinema of Shadows The evening is designed as a focused environment where light and sound are stripped back to their essentials. It is an invitation to step out of the digital noise and experience Fado in its most honest, unmasked form.

The Silent Covenant We believe in the power of mystery. To preserve the experience for those who have yet to attend, we invite our guests to join a "Silent Covenant." This means keeping the specific details and surprises of the recital private so the magic remains unexposed for the next room.

What to Expect

• The Setting: A private living room in the Zeeheldenkwartier, The Hague. The exact location is shared with ticket holders 48 hours before the event.
• The Program: We use a digital program to maintain acoustic purity. You will find a QR code on the poster at the entrance to access the setlist on your phone.
• The Arrival: Doors open at 18:30. Doors close strictly at 18:59 to ensure an undisturbed environment for the performance.
• The Interval: A 20 minute break between sets with light refreshments provided.
• The Conclusion: The recital concludes around 20:30. Afterward, there is an opportunity to meet the artist and share a final drink.
• Supporting the Project: While tickets cover production, a link for voluntary contributions is available within the digital program for those who wish to support the continued existence of these performances.
