About this Event
Bought to you by Australian Associated Press (AAP) and Meta
AAP FactCheck - the leading fact-checking organisation for Australia, New Zealand and the Pacific - presents a free training program sharing the latest fact-checking, verification and online investigation skills to help journalists debunk disinformation.
The program begins with a one-day workshop focused on developing the professional skills to effectively identify and debunk disinformation. The workshop will also share ways to use your new skills to create content that helps protect your audience from false information.
All participants in the workshop will unlock a further three months of online support from AAP FactCheck, so you can continue to create and publish fact-check content with confidence.
This event is hosted with the cooperation of the Media Council of Papua New Guinea, and funding from Meta.
All media professionals are invited to attend the one-day workshop in Port Moresby.
The event is free, but tickets are essential to secure a spot.
