From conception to human form, the embryo weaves a new thread of its history with every stage of development. Cells become increasingly active, refining systems and functions that will endure beyond the protection of the womb and through the experiences of life. This series explores the continuity of history, memory, and inheritance through the convergence of architectural lineage, heredity, and nature.Drawing from cathedrals across various historical periods, the work reflects on how influence is passed from one generation to the next. Just as architectural forms evolve through centuries of adaptation, genetic traits are inherited and carried forward through successive generations. By intertwining these lineages, the series considers how identity, memory, and form are continually shaped through inheritance and change. Through visual collisions of the ornate and the corporeal, these works blur the boundary between sacred structure and flesh

About the Factory on Willow's Artist In Residency Program
The Factory’s AIR program aims to host up to 6 artists from across the world every year. Selected artists are provided stipends for room & board, food, and art supplies so they can spend their time focusing on their creative practice. At the end of each residency each artist hosts an exhibition in the Factory’s event space and invites the community to join as we celebrate their developing bodies of work.
