Join us for a special celebration marking the launch of a new book created by students in Gil Cochrum’s Creative Writing class at Allegany College of Maryland.This collection features stories developed through student interviews with ACM and ACPS employees, as well as community members involved in ACM’s Mind/Body Wellness Initiative from 1999 to the present. The project was completed as part of the Transform MidAtlantic grant in partnership with the nationally recognized Facing Project.
The book highlights more than 25 years of collaboration focused on student success, employee wellness, and strong community partnerships.
Remarks will be shared by David Jones, Dr. Martirano, and Dr. Hoffman. Madeleine Yates, Executive Director of Transform MidAtlantic, will also be recognized during the program.
Copies of the book will be available for purchase, and the evening will begin with a reception at 5pm.
