Bring some personality to your pottery! In this class we'll show you how to turn simple slabs of clay into a mug that's full of character and charm. In this instructor lead class you’ll first learn how to construct slabs of clay to form your mug’s foundation. Then, you’ll learn various sculpting skills to make some fun facial features. Finally, you’ll use various underglazes to give your mug some color. Bring your imagination and a sense of humor, we’ll provide everything else. By the end, you'll have a mug that's not just functional but also a great conversation starter.
Demonstrations and guidance will be provided throughout class.
All experience levels and questions are welcomed!
Projects will be made with a strong stoneware clay that turns white once fired in the kiln.
Dressing for a messy class is recommended.
Please park in front of the main building and walk over to the clay studio.
Disclaimer: Due to the nature of ceramics, sometimes unfortunately projects can crack, break or can be damaged in the firing process even with the most care and consideration. Unfortunately this is not a cause for refunds.
Cancellation/Missed Class Policy: No refunds if cancelled < 1week notice or missed due to illness or otherwise. Refunds made prior to 1 week will be sent back to card processed on minus processing fees.
