Fabulous Fungi in Stambourne Woods - mixed adult Fundraiser

We are an entirely voluntary project and this session is one of our fundraising events. Donating to our project covers essentials like insurance and advertising and allows us to continue providing over 120 wellbeing walks a year for free !

Jane McLauchlin will guide us through the woods helping us spot some fabulous fungi - and you will experiencing some deeply relaxing forest bathing too - what better combo is there?

ParkBathe is a citizen-science project providing mindful walks and nature connection as a means to improve the health and wellbeing of people who might not normally engage in wellness activities. ParkBathe uses aspects of 'forest bathing', forest school and mindfulness and involves walking slowly in a local green space whilst noticing our surroundings (no water is involved!)

The 1 hr guided sessions consist of small groups (max 12 people) in Stambourne Woods, SE19.

* We suggest you book up to 3 sessions so you gain the accumulative benefits and learn the techniques for yourself. Wear warm layers, sturdy shoes and wet weather gear as required (we go out in the rain!). Pls bring water/snacks/suncream according to season.

MEETING PLACE: The entrance to STAMBOURE WOODS on Auckland Road SE19, this is an exact location to find the entrance as it is not obvious. (This entrance is roughly opposite nos 122/124 Auckland Road)

To comply with our insurance, all participants must agree to the walk T&C at Eventbrite checkout.

CITIZEN SCIENCE:

Over the last year we have taken over 1,000 people on walks and collected a wealth of health data. These results are peer-reviewed and published on our website.
