Join Stewardship Coordinator Evelyn Brown for a guided Fabulous Fungi Walk at Highland Farm Preserve! This beginner-friendly exploration is perfect for anyone curious about identifying the mushrooms of Maine, especially the edible species. We will learn about basic fungal biology as well as how to use field guides and resources to confidently identify key species.

As we walk through the forest, we’ll search for mushrooms and discuss our discoveries along the way. If you have any mushroom ID books/field guides or a small magnifying glass, please bring them along. Bring water and wear close-toe shoes.
