Why were ammonites called snake-stones?Why are coal forest plant fossils patterned?
What connects 'fossil' fuels and the polyester in our clothes?
Join our free workshop at Redcar Palace on Saturday 23rd May to find out more. You can examine different fossils, view specimens through a microscope, find out about fossils in your area, and create your own stitched image to take away as a keepsake. We're open from 10.30 to 3.30, so do drop in and join us!
(This workshop is led by the PAGE project team from the University of Leeds, working with Tees Valley Arts and Earth Science Outreach UK. Funding has been kindly provided by LAHRI, the Leeds Arts & Humanities Research Institute: https://lahri.leeds.ac.uk/)
