Fabulous Foraging: A Burnsville Pride Mushroom Hunt

Join Burnsville Pride and our resident foraging expert and amazing Board President, Alison, for an afternoon of mushroom foraging! We will be keeping an eye out for chanterelles, chicken of the woods, and hen of the woods.
No experience? No problem! We’ll teach you how to spot the gems and avoid inedible species. This is an educational and inclusive stroll through the forest meant for everyone.

Bring a basket, mesh bag, or paper bag to collect your finds. Please do not bring plastic bags; mesh and baskets allow spores to fall through as we walk, ensuring more mushrooms grow for next year!
Wear long pants and sturdy, closed-toe shoes. Bring a water bottle, as well as your bug spray and sunscreen!
Foraging will take place in Alimagent Park. Look for volunteers with Burnsville Pride t-shirts!
