Take a comprehensive 5 week introductory jewelry making class in just two days--perfect for those traveling from out of town or for students who want an accelerated introduction to metalsmithing.
Learn introductory metalsmithing and jewelry fabrication skills as you work your way through two sterling and copper projects. You will learn the basics of texturing metal, forming, making jump rings, assembly, sawing, piercing, drilling, filing, hand and mechanical finishing, rivets, clasps, bails and patina. Studio procedures and safety will be covered along with proper tool use and care. Fabrication 1 is a prerequisite to Fabrication 2.
Monday & Tuesday, August 10 & 11, 10am-5pm.
