CALLING ALL FIBER ARTISTS.
TIME TO CLEAR YOUR STASH!!
In my passion for keeping fabric and yarn out of the landfills AND make fiber arts accessible to any and all without shoveling $$ to the big box stores…..(yes this includes Goodwill)
I will be collecting any fiber art material you no longer want on October 4th and 5th at Eclectic Finds from 12:00pm to 5:00pm both days.
This includes:
Embroidery materials
Yarn
Fabric (fat quarters, yards, bolts)
Thread
Crochet hooks
Knitting needles
Buttons
Beads
Patterns
Sewing machines
Anything that is used to make fiber arts.
What I WILL NOT ACCEPT:
Clothing or paints
Anything with a strong odor
Anything that is not used for fiber arts (I know this is subjective so use your best judgement)
Anything broken or sticky 😂
What will I do with these materials?
You guessed it…I’m opening Slidells only Fiber Art Thrift Store in Eclectic Finds.
Patrons will be able to purchase NEW (I’m bringing in stock) as well as NEW TO YOU (gently pre-owned yarn and fabrics) at a deeeeeeeeep discount.
25% of the proceeds from all donated materials will go to a charity or non-profit IN Slidell that supports the Arts. We’ll also use a very small portion of materials for classes and fun community projects.
We’ll rotate organizations but the first quarters percent will go to Slidell Little Theatre.
I promise your treasures will be treated well, with dignity, and go to a good home.
