About this Event
For the third edition of F for Flamenco, we introduce a new event: F for Frontera, an evening exploring the North American flamenco dancers and dance companies creating boundary pushing new work.
This year, F for Frontera features ALCHEMY, an interdisciplinary dance production exploring the transformative intersection of flamenco and contemporary dance. Drawing on themes from the classical alchemical process and Carl Jung’s theory of individuation, ALCHEMY examines personal evolution and transformation through the lenses of challenge, dissolution, and reintegration. Featuring a dynamic ensemble of three flamenco dancers, two contemporary dancers, and five musicians, ALCHEMY fuses movement and sound into a richly textured, emotionally resonant experience.
