EYFS Profile Assessment Workshops

As part of Best Start for Life, all reception teachers are encouraged by the DfE to attend an EYFS Profile Assessment workshop (formerly EYFSP moderation). Led by EYFSP Partners and funded by the DfE, the workshops will build a shared understanding of the ELGs, strengthen clarity and consistency, and confident use of the best‑fit model of the statutory EYFSP handbook. Attendance is particularly important for schools with higher levels of disadvantage or gaps in data. In addition, workshops will consider the importance of conversations with Year 1 teachers, so Year 1 colleagues are also warmly invited to attend alongside reception teachers where possible. Teachers should attend one session only.
