Extremely Accurate Bird Songs: Live!

Cartoonist/musician (of Jukebox the Ghost) and musician/composer Billy Libby (Ingrid Michaelson) are two world-touring musicians on a daring quest: to write and record a song about every bird species and document the process in podcast form — Since there are only 11,145 bird species, it shouldn’t be too tough.With a year of bird-specific-songwriting under their belt, they made their debut as a live duo at the San Diego Bird Festival in 2026, and are spending the summer on tour with Jukebox the Ghost before taking their musical comedy/multimedia "Bird Rock" extravaganza to headline several birding conventions across the country. For what to expect: think Flight of the Conchords, but every song is about birds.
In each episode of their podcast “Extremely Accurate Bird Songs“, Tommy and Billy do an irreverent (but largely factual…) deep dive on each bird species, followed by the worldwide debut of an original, bird-specific genre parody song meant to fully capture the bird’s unique essence, presented to a bird expert guest who decides if the song is Extremely Accurate....or not.
