In Assembly, performance has taken many forms: music, poetry, storytelling, film, movement, and the act of being witnessed and supported by one another.
Join us for an afternoon and evening of live performances celebrating the artists and creative community that have shaped Assembly over the past decade.
The day features:

Featuring exhibiting artists, Assembly alumni, collaborators, and special guests.
Free and open to the public.

About Assembly
Founded in 2016, Assembly offers system-impacted young people aged 18-26 an inroad to art and connections to working artists, while serving as an alternative to incarceration and intersecting systems of harm and oppression. Assembly empowers young people to take charge of their own life story and envision a future through art.
About Recess
Recess partners with artists, youth, writers, and their chosen publics to create transformative cultural experiences.
Our programs welcome radical thinkers to imagine and shape networks of resilience and safety. By challenging dominant narratives and activating new forms of creative production, Recess defines and advances the possibilities of contemporary art.
Recess is free and open to the public to serve as a meeting place to generate art, ideas and actions.
