About this Event
The tides are extremely low so get ready for a rockpool safari with a difference. We’ll take you on an exploration of the shore as we search for marine life which is only uncovered on a very low tide. Discover kelp forests, look out for lobsters and seek out sea urchins.
Please note, children must be supervised by an adult throughout the event.
Embrace your wild side - what to expect:
This event is suitable for families and adults. The event will involve walking over uneven ground on the rocky shore and on slippery surfaces. Please ensure to wear suitable footwear and to bring waterproof clothing. We will be walking through rockpools so waterproof shoes are required - wellies would be best.
What to bring/wear
This event takes place outside so brace yourself for the Yorkshire weather! We'd recommend sturdy and waterproof footwear or wellies and lots of layers. If it's a hot day, remember a hat and sun cream.
Toilets and catering
Please be aware that Yorkshire Wildlife Trust do not have facilities in Scarborough. However, there are a number of public toilets and catering facilities nearby.
