Do you have the need for Speed? Get ready! Because 2026, we’re gonna be doing things a whole lot different. We’ll be kicking off Extravaganza Month with not only the Grand Prix race May 16th but the 12th Annual Memorial Day Go Karting Extravaganza, The Daytona 500 of Go Karting on May 17th at R1 Indoor Karting in Lincoln, Rhode Island. 100% Electric, 45 MPH. And….here’s the kicker, we’ll also be throwing the Extravaganza Month Doubleheader challenge. How does it work? Whoever wins the Grand Prix race and the Extravaganza race to sweep The Weeknd gets a 200 point bonus. Not I look forward to hosting the Extravaganza race every year but also very excited for the doubleheader challenge. Plus we’ll be bringing the Extravaganza race to the Ocean State for the biggest party Memorial Day Weekend once again. We had an ok turnout in this event last year but now we hope to get a BIG turnout and bring everyone across CT, RI, and the South shore part of MA for this year’s Extravaganza race. Here’s a time schedule what will be happening:Saturday May 16th:
8:30-Arrive at R1 Indoor Karting
9:00-Green Flag
Sunday May 17th:
8:00-Arrive at R1 Indoor Karting
8:30-Prerace Tailgate Party
9:00-National Anthem
9:15-Everyone will sign up and Race
9:30-Green Flag
11:00-Post race interviews (winner included)
After the race: Trophy presentation, Rookie Award, Group picture at the victory lane podium
If we can have everyone come at 8:30 on the 16th and 8:00 AM on the 17th that would be good. We ask for the 17th that you meet in the parking lot before the start of the National anthem. Once the anthems over and we have everyone in our group then we can go in. If by any chance your running late, please let me know. Also, If your a first timer, here's a list of prices for the races:
1 Race - $26.99
2 Races - $54
3 Races - $69.00
Again, you don’t have to do 3 races. You can do whatever races you choose. Also if your a 1st timer for this event, you will be listed as Rookie. How it goes: If a Rookie driver has the highest finish in either the 2nd or 3rd, wins the award! However if a rookie wins the event, they will receive the winners trophy and the Rookie trophy. If you have a friend that would love to come to this event Please....invite them. The more people, the better. Tell them about our event, share it on your page. We do ask everyone to RSVP by May 10th That will be the week before the Memorial Day go karting Extravaganza. You don't want to miss out on this exciting doubleheader weekend.
