Meeting at 9.15am for a 9.30am start at The Queen Elizabeth Country Park visitor centre we will enjoy a 6.7 mile walk winding through the woods of the Queen Elizabeth Country Park taking in War Down and Buriton Chalk Pits. Hopefully we will be able to spot some wildlife as we make our way around. There are a number of hills to climb on this walk and some of the paths can be a little slippery in places after rain but the views are amazing and worth the climb. A moderate/harder walk for some. Allowing 3.5 hours for the walk as it will be at a slower pace because of the hills.
Please note there are multi-user trails on this route, with mountain bikers, runners, and walkers all using the paths. Take care on the rougher sections of this trail, especially in wetter weather. Appropriate footwear is advised. Parking fees are mandatory to access the main visitor centre car park
The route takes in a mix of sights and terrains as we make our way around. Parking, refreshments and facilities are available during opening hours at the start and finish only
Dogs on leads are welcome, £1 donation per walk towards our charity of the month this walk is approx. 6.7 miles 11km
