About this Event
Welcome to Expressive Fusion: Blending Art, Sand, and Play! Join us at 2205 York Rd on April 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM (Eastern Time). This training is designed for clinicians seeking to intentionally integrate art-making, sand tray, and play-based interventions. This training explores how layered expressive modalities support regulation, symbolic expression, narrative development, and integration across children, adolescents, and adults. Participants engage in experiential activities, clinical examples, and hands-on interventions that emphasize flexibility, creativity, and therapeutic attunement within a trauma-responsive framework.
Objectives:
- Identify core principles of integrating art, sand tray, and play therapy within a trauma-informed framework.
- Demonstrate at least three expressive play or sand tray interventions that promote emotional regulation and symbolic expression.
- Apply developmentally appropriate expressive techniques for children and adolescents using blended modalities.
- Analyze symbolic themes that emerge through combined art, sand, and play processes to support clinical treatment goals.
- Explain how expressive and experiential interventions support trauma processing and nervous system regulation.
- Utilize blended expressive techniques to enhance client engagement, insight, and meaning-making
