Expressions of Interest: Timber Framing Workshop
About this Event
The International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture and Urbanism (INTBAU), Heritage SA, part of the Department for Environment and Water, and the City of Adelaide are coordinating a one-day timber framing workshop relating to the crafting of a mortise and tenon joint.
The Timber Framing Workshop will cover:
· The History of Timber Framing
· Timber Framing today
· An introduction of tools and how to care for them
· Framing and timber peg making
· Crafting and assembling a mortise and tenon joint
The session will be inclusive of lunch and morning/afternoon tea on the day.
There will be CPD points available for those eligible.
We are seeking expressions of interest at this stage, we do not yet have confirmation of price per person.
The International Network for Traditional Building, Architecture and Urbanism (INTBAU) was established in 2001, and has since gained 40 chapters and over 10,000 members in more than 100 countries and regions, working under the patronage of the founder, His Majesty King Charles III.
INTBAU’s mission is to support traditional building, the maintenance of local character, and the creation of better places to live. This is done through workshops, summer schools, study tours, conferences, awards, and competitions.
