About this Event

Explore emotions through creativity and learn Art Therapy and CBT-informed tools to help understand and regulate them.

Have you ever felt overwhelmed or stuck by big feelings?

Whilst there are no right or wrong emotions, it can feel distressing when anxiety, sadness or anger last at an intense level.

Join us for “Express and De-stress”, a friendly workshop where you can immerse yourself in artmaking, learn tools to balance emotions and build greater resilience.

Cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT) is an evidence-based talking therapy for depression and anxiety that explores the linkage between our thoughts, feelings, and actions.

Art Psychotherapy helps process our emotions and experience through art-making, while managing verbal defences.

This workshop blends both approaches into a journey of self-discovery that’s both structured and spontaneous! The workshop is NOT a therapy session, but a space for exploration, reflection, and learning therapeutic tools to understand and regulate emotion.

This is our fourth workshop in the “Express and De-stress” series. Here is what previous participants enjoyed about our Stress management and Low mood workshops:

  • Helps find a way to describe how anxiety feels
  • Depth in worry management tools
  • Time for insight
  • Professional knowledge and guides
  • Warmth and friendly support
  • Fluent programme running
  • Neat summary and structure

Who is this workshop for:

  • Over 18’s.
  • Anyone who is interested in learning more about themselves or discovering tools to manage emotions.
  • No prior experience in the arts is needed — just bring your curiosity. We’d love to see you there!
