About this Event
Join Muhlenberg Plant Society and Lancaster Conservancy on this exploration of High Family Nature Preserve. This interpretive hike will include exploration of the rich woodlands, diabase geology, and spring ephemeral wildflowers. This preserve features and meadow, savannah, and mature woodlands.
What to expect and how to prepare: Be prepared for a 1.5-mile hike with some elevation change and potentially muddy conditions. We will make frequent stops to learn about the plants we are seeing. Bring drinking water and dress for the weather. There is a port-a-john across the street at Old Trolley Line Park.
Where to Meet: We will meet across the street at Old Trolley Line Park and walk over to High Family Nature Preserve together.
Animal Policy: Service animals active or in training are welcome. Please leave all pets at home.
Refund Policy: If you are unable to attend this event after purchasing a ticket, refund requests must be made at least 48 hours before the event.
Cancellation Policy: This event will be held rain or shine, with cancellation made at the time of the event in the case of severe weather. If the Conservancy reschedules the event, attendees will be emailed, and tickets will be automatically moved to the new date. If the Conservancy cancels the event, attendees will be notified via email and refunded.
