Exploring the Shipwrecks and Marine Life off the Coast of Long Island
by Suzanne and Glenn Rankin
Explore the diversity of marine life thriving in a variety of habitats in the cooler waters off the coast of Long Island, New York. Join us as we swim throughout the eelgrass beds in our protected bays and discuss the importance of a healthy estuary. Heading out the inlet towards the open sea, we dive to the ocean floor where many shipwrecks provide homes for a variety of creatures that inhabit the deeper waters.
