Exploring STEM Day at Wooster 2026

Exploring STEM Day's mission is to encourage young women to pursue careers in STEM, by providing a one day conference for all 5th-7th grade girls to learn about career opportunities from women in math and science oriented fields. You'll participate in three fun, hands-on workshops from STEM role models from our community. Our goal is to motivate girls like you to become innovative and creative thinkers, ready to meet 21st century challenges!

We are excited to welcome the United Titanium Bug Zoo to this year’s Exploring STEM Day during lunch for a live presentation on bug mimicry! Biomimicry – the copying of natural design – has given us wonderful technologies from paper to clean drinking water. Explore how insects have influence the technology in your life – without you even knowing it!

Registration Instructions:

• As you register, you will be able choose your top 6 workshop choices as you checkout, make sure to fill in the boxes that are provided. Visit the Exploring STEM Day website to view your workshop choices.
• The $15 registration fee includes all conference materials, a light lunch and a workshop bag.
• Fee waivers are available for those with financial needs, please fill out the fee waiver form instead of Eventbrite if you need one.

• Workshops are available on a first-come, first-served basis, and participation is limited to the first 200 registrants. We are unable to accomodate friend groups so chose the workshops that interest you and come prepared to make new friends!
• Registration deadline is March 28st or until workshop is full
• Workshop schedules will be provided when you check in on April 11th.

COVID Safety Guidelines: Exploring STEM Day will follow all COVID safety guidelines of the College of Wooster. Currently, this includes optional masking. These policies are subject to change based on community transmission levels and recommendations by the appropriate health agencies.
