Exploring Spiritual Direction Alongside Lesbian and Gay People

An opportunity to reflect on the particular issues that may arise when accompanying directees:

• for whom being lesbian or gay is already part of their identity; or
• who may be exploring their gender or sexuality as part of their journey of faith; or
• who may be challenged by finding their close relative or friend is lesbian or gay

We hope to look together at

• Our shared experiences of "sameness" and "otherness”
• One spiritual director's experience of "otherness" in her faith journey
• Further resources for both reflection and support

This session focuses purely on the possible spiritual needs of lesbian and gay people (LG). A further session(s) may be helpful regarding other groups known by the abbreviations BTQIA.
