Have we been hoodwinked?
About this Event

No amount of cleverness or effort to control our circumstances can resolve the deeper misunderstandings we hold about life. True empowerment begins when we recognize and dismantle the mistaken beliefs we've unconsciously inherited. Only then can we begin to make choices rooted in reality, rather than in the illusions perpetuated by culture.

This is a 4 part series, beginning on Tuesday, November 4th. We hope you can join us for tne entire series, and you are also welcome to attend any of the sessions individually.

It will meet in the Meditation Room at True Nature to explore the full depth of the content.

  • Nov 4th
  • Nov 11th
  • Nov 18th
  • Nov 25th
This experiential workshop invites participants to uncover the powerful influence of cultural illusions on both our individual lives and collective worldview. Through inquiry and shared reflection, we’ll begin to see how deeply conditioned patterns shape our understanding of what’s possible.

Participants will leave with a fresh and empowering perspective—one that challenges the invisible assumptions we've been taught to accept as truth.

We often hear the phrase “think outside the box”—but few ever name what the box is, where its edges lie, or how to step beyond it.
This workshop helps illuminate those walls. And with that clarity, the view—and our sense of possibility—radically shifts.

Meet your host

Larry Gottlieb completed his undergraduate work in physics at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in 1967 and master’s degree in x-ray astronomy at the University of California, San Diego, in 1969. He has self-published two non-fiction books about the intersection of physics and spirituality, The Seer’s Explanation (2013) and Hoodwinked: Exploring Our Culture’s Profound Illusions (2023). With his wife and co-author Katherine Knickerbocker, he has recently released Secrets of the River: A Parable for Our Times, a story about awakening through interaction with a seasoned river guide.
