Join us for a three part lecture series in the month of March with our friends at the Benton County Historical Society and Morrison County Historical Society. These lecture aim to commemorate the founding of the United States in 1776 and reframe the conversation to include different perspectives, including women, African Americans, and Native Americans. Each week the lecture will be held at a different location (see flyer for details). March 14 will be hosted online via the Morrison County Historical Society. Please e-mail [email protected] to get the Zoom link.
March 21 will be hosted by the Benton County Historical Society and will feature Dr. Christopher Lehman who will discuss his family genealogy research and the challenges faced when diving into African American family trees.
March 28 will be hosted by the Stearns History Museum and will feature Dr. Rob Galler who will share stories and information about Native American history in Minnesota during the colonial period and forward.
We hope to see you at one or all! These events are free of charge thanks to generous sponsorship by Sourcewell.
