Exploring Crayfish: Catch & Cook (SW OH)

Anyone interested in learning about how to catch and cook crayfish is encouraged to attend this free class on June 27, 2026. The Class will be held at MetroParks of Butler County, Gilmore Ponds at the Bilstein entrance (8300 Bilstein Blvd, Hamilton, OH 45015). Instructors will cover native and invasive species, trapping methods, rules/regulations, and, of course cooking. We will be going into the field to set traps/retrieve traps.
Participants are encouraged to dress for the outdoors and wear old clothes, boots, gym shoes, or chest waders. There is a good chance you will get wet and dirty. We get into the water. Other equipment you might consider bringing, towel and a change of clothes.
