About this Event

Join Collective Resilience, StopWaste and special guests in an interactive webinar to explore the urgent topic of preparing our schools and campuses for the Climate Crisis. We will introduce participants to our theory of change, some of the many organizations and projects doing amazing work to advance this work (from ballot initiatives to statewide curriculum), and share how you can get involved in our exciting “Schools as Resilience Hubs” work over the next several months.

LEARN: best practices and strategies to develop climate resilient schools, and the unique ways that schools can become resilience hubs. Learn about our theory of change, inspiring models and programs in Alameda County and ballot initiatives to fund climate resilient infrastructure.
ENGAGE: Provide feedback for our developing theory of change, and share your own resources, challenges and success stories.
GET INVOLVED: We will share our exciting efforts to develop a report, resources for teachers and school communities, and a walking tour. Learn about our stipend positions and other ways to get involved in this project.
Teachers, students, school administrators, parents, government partner, climate activists, community resilience and resilience hubs organizers -- all are welcome!
