Visiting Toronto? Come join us on a guided tour of Toronto's incredible urban wilderness! A hidden gem bustling with local wildlife, Tommy Thompson Park is a Key Biodiversity Area which has recieved international recoginition as a global model of ecological restoration. This park is a birding hotspot where the magnificent views of the city skyline are contrasted by the re-naturalized wilderness spaces in the park. This guided tour will explore various habitats and introduce local native species of birds and other animals, you will learn about the unique history of the park and how the park has transformed over the years from an industrial dump-site to a thriving wilderness space. We will also explore various restoration projects which have helped to support the local ecosystem and have been recoginized by the 2025 for Global Model of Ecological Restoration and Protection.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellation requests received by TRCA more than 14 days before the start of the program will receive a 75% refund of the relevant program fees paid. Cancellation requests received by TRCA less than 14 days before the start of the program do not qualify for a refund. Minimum registration numbers are required for the program to operate. In the event TRCA must cancel the program due to low registration, a refund of the ticket price less Eventbrite fees will be issued.
