Black Museum in the Garden: A Juneteenth Event
About this Event
Black Environmental Initiative (BEI) and the Buxton National Historic Site & Museum are joining forces to honour Black history in Ontario through a unique Juneteenth celebration that connects heritage, storytelling, culture, and the natural environment.
Michelle Robbins, curator of the museum and a descendant of the historic Black farming families of Buxton, will visit the Maloca Community Garden to share the story of her community and showcase a selection of historical artifacts that help bring this important history to life.
The event is free of charge, but seating is limited and registration is required. Donations are welcome, and all proceeds will support the work of the museum.

We look forward to welcoming you for an inspiring evening of history, learning, and community.
