Join acclaimed author and storyteller Joseph Bruchac, Saratoga Springs’ former Poet Laureate, and the city’s first to hold the role, for a poetry experience rooted in the beauty of Pitney Meadows. Drawing inspiration from the fields, forests, and shifting seasons, Joseph will lead participants in discovering how place can spark powerful, personal writing.Open to ages 12 and up, this welcoming workshop is designed for all levels, whether you’re picking up a pen for the first time or returning to a longtime practice. FREE to attend, with a suggested donation.
Week Three: The farm is a place of constant tending… watering, weeding, nurturing growth. In this session, we’ll reflect on the act of care, both in the land and in our own lives. Through writing, we’ll explore themes of responsibility, connection, and stewardship, considering what it means to care for something and be cared for in return.
