Join dedicated volunteers for an informative and FUN hike at Government Canyon SNA. Knowledgeable guides will discuss the flora, fauna, natural and cultural history of Government Canyon State Natural Area. Hike recurs most months, length of hike and interpretive topic(s) will vary depending on the group. Distance will be between 2 to 5 miles over easy to moderate terrain.
Open to ages 10 and above; participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or guardian; no pets please. The hike is limited to the first 15 participants to check-in with the hike leader.
This is a public program intended for individuals or families. If you would like to bring a group for a program at Government Canyon, please contact the Park Interpreter at [email protected] to schedule at a different time.
Program reservations are NOT required for this hike. Though the hike is free, all Natural Area entry fees apply.
To save time at the Fee Booth on crowded days and ensure entrance, please pre-purchase and PRINT OUT a Day Pass. Please note: reserving a Day Pass does not guarantee a spot for you on the hike! The hike is limited to the first 15 participants to check-in with the hike leader.
