Unwind with a peaceful evening paddle as the day winds down, cruising at an easy pace in the lead-up to sunset. This relaxed session is all about switching off, enjoying the changing light, and sharing the experience with others.
Designed with a more social feel, this paddle is perfect for meeting like-minded people, chatting as you go, and being part of the Paddleboard Selby community. It’s a simple, safe, enjoyable way to spend time outdoors without pressure or intensity.
This session is not suitable for complete beginners. You should be confident paddling independently, able to control your board, and comfortable keeping up with the group at an easy pace.
If you’re new to paddleboarding, we recommend joining one of our Introduction to Paddleboarding sessions first. If you’d like to build confidence and improve your skills, our Build Your Paddle Skills sessions are a great next step before joining a social paddle.
Being out on the water in the evening offers real, practical benefits:
A simple way to switch off after work
Gentle movement that doesn’t feel like exercise
Fresh air and time outdoors without needing a full day free
A chance to connect with nature and other people
This isn’t a coached session, but the group stays together and is safely supervised throughout by a qualified Paddle UK Paddleboard Coach. We take care of everything so you can turn up and enjoy the water.
What’s needed or can be hired:
Paddleboard
Paddle
Leash & quick-release belt
Buoyancy aid
You’re welcome to bring your own equipment, provided it’s fit for purpose and checked beforehand by the coach. I can also help you get your equipment ready and pump up your board with an electric pump, too.
Please note that any valuables you bring are at your own risk.
Single Session Cost:
£35 per person – includes equipment hire
£25 per person – bring all your own equipment
Bulk Sessions Cost:
£140 for 5 Evening Social Paddles (20% Discount), includes equipment hire
£100 for 5 Evening Social Paddles (20% Discount), bring all your own equipment
