1. Contest Duration: The contest runs from July 10 to July 17, 2024, coinciding with Historic Places Days.
2. Entry Requirements: Participants are encouraged to visit a participating historic place, such as George Genereux Urban Regional Park, during this period. They can either take a new selfie, photo, or short video at the location or share a cherished photo or video from a previous visit.

   • Use the hashtags #HistoricPlacesDays and #HPDContest2024 in their post.
   • Tag the specific historic place they visited. Mention @georgegenereuxpark.
   • Tag and follow @nationaltrustca on Instagram or Facebook.
5. Parks Canada Support: If the historic place is a Parks Canada site, participants should also include the hashtag #ParksCanada to show support for the event's partner and major sponsor.
6. Content and Caption: Participants are encouraged to share the story of their visit in the caption of their photo or video. This could include what George Genereux Urban Regional Park means to you personally or any interesting historical facts they've learned.

8. • Grand Prizes: There are three grand prizes, each consisting of $500 cash for the participant and an additional $500 for the historic site they tagged in their entry. One grand prize winner will be drawn on Sunday, and the other two will be drawn on the final day of the contest.
   • Daily Prizes: Daily prizes include 7 Parks Canada Passes, 7 Canada’s History Subscriptions, 7 Canadian Geographic Magazine Subscriptions, and 7 National Trust Memberships. Daily prize draws start from the day after the launch day of the contest.
9. Extra Entries: Participants can earn an additional contest entry by sharing posts about the photo/video contest on their own social media accounts. They should tag @nationaltrustca and their favorite historic place in these shared posts.

11. • By participating, entrants give the National Trust for Canada permission to use their content in promotional materials.
    • Participants can post the same photo or video on all their social media channels on the same day and can enter the contest every day using a different photo or video.
    • Each participant can win a maximum of two runner-up prizes.
    • To qualify for the grand prize, entries must be original photos or videos taken by the participant themselves. Entries gained solely from sharing posts are not eligible for the grand prize.
    • No purchase is necessary to enter the contest.
