About this Event
This is a four day workshop taking place on Wednesdays, from 12:30pm - 1:45pm each day, on February. 11th, 18th, 24th, and Mar. 4th. The ticket price ($75) includes all four sessions.
In this workshop participants will experiment through still life, gestural drawing, quick exercises to get the drawing brain nimble, and looking at images to stimulate new ideas and ways of visual expression. This workshop is open to anyone, with any level of experience. We can all draw in our unique way!
Materials: you will need to bring a sketchbook (preferrably 7” x 10” or 9” x12”), Blackwing pearl pencil (or any 2B good quality pencil), pencil sharpener, eraser, and 12 (different colours) colour pencils.
Georgina Brandon studied Fine Arts and Ceramic sculpture at Mount Allison University and Emily Carr College of Art & Design, and has taught workshops to all ages for the past 25 years. She works in clay, painting, illustration, and drawing. Georgina is currently studying Mental Health & Addictions Counselling at VCC and is very interested in how the expressive language of art can benefit mental health.
