Explore & Play at Mine Falls - child-led walk

Join us for a relaxed morning exploring Mine Falls! We’ll meet at the Stadium Drive entrance (near the YMCA and skate park) and gather by the dam at 10:00AM. We’ll start our walk at 10:10AM.
🌱This is a child-led walk, so we’ll follow our kids’ pace, stopping to notice whatever catches their attention along the way. Just a few minutes into the walk, there’s a wonderful spot near the first bridge where we can step off the trail and let the kids explore. They can climb over logs, collect sticks, look for bugs, run around, and enjoy some unstructured outdoor play.
🚶♀️The main trail is stroller-friendly. The area where we’ll stop to play is not stroller-friendly, but it’s right beside the trail. Families are welcome to continue walking the path or stop and play with us for as long as they’d like.
☔ I’ll be keeping an eye on the weather. If it’s just a light drizzle, my kids and I will likely still be there in our rain suits enjoying the fresh air and puddles. That said, I’m hoping for a beautiful morning and maybe the rain will decide to hold off for us!
